Product Description
This oil catch tank kit is designed for right-hand drive Subaru Impreza GC8/GF8 models from 1992 to 2000.
On a standard engine, oil vapour from the crankcase and cylinder heads is recycled back through the air intake system. This can lower the octane level of the fuel-air mixture during combustion and coat intake hoses, the turbo, intercooler and connecting pipework with oil residue, which reduces airflow and cooling efficiency over time.
Fitting this kit vents excess vapour into a separate tank, where the oil is separated from the air before being returned to the sump. A supplied oil drain hose connects the catch tank to the sump so the separated oil is returned to the engine rather than collecting in the tank.
The tank is manufactured specifically for the Impreza GC8/GF8 shape.
