Product Description
Oil surge on the Subaru flat-four boxer engine can pull oil away from the pick-up pipe under hard cornering, leaving parts of the engine short of lubrication.
This kit fits a baffle plate that helps keep oil around the pick-up pipe during hard cornering, and is intended for use when fitting a baffle plate to an existing engine — for example during a rebuild — since it is difficult to fully clean debris from a used, multi-skin sump.
For further oil control, a baffled sump can be used alongside the baffle plate, with a dry sump system as the next step up.
