Product Description
An RCM / Alcon 343mm 6-pot front brake kit, finished in red.
Each kit includes:
- Alloy disc and bell assembly
- Monobloc 6-piston caliper
- Low-noise, fade-resistant pads
- Brackets and fixings
- High-performance brake fluid
- Full fitting instructions
The discs combine an Alcon-developed iron alloy disc with an aerospace-specification alloy bell. Crescent grooves on the friction faces are designed to provide bite comparable to drilled discs while avoiding the durability drawbacks associated with drilling, and directional curved cooling vanes assist cooling. Alcon’s floating disc system, used across the majority of applications, is designed to allow thermal expansion of the disc while minimising the tendency to judder.
The pads are formulated for cold performance during start-up and city driving, with resistance to fade at elevated temperatures. The calipers are gravity die-cast for a monobloc, aluminium-alloy construction, giving a 6-piston design intended for high stiffness with low weight. Piston bore sizes are staggered to help ensure even pad wear, and pin-mounted pads are designed for low threshold pressure and low noise.
