- Tri-metal bearing construction
- Reduced-thickness overlay plate for improved fatigue resistance
- Hardened steel backs on rod bearings to support retention in the housing
- Increased crush for improved bearing retention
- No flash plating on the bearing back, to aid heat transfer and grip in the housing
- Increased eccentricity to help compensate for bore distortion at high RPM and support formation of hydrodynamic oil films
- Tight, consistent wall tolerances
- Enlarged ID chamfers to accommodate the larger fillet radius used on performance crankshafts
