Product Description
Subaru has used a variety of materials for the oil separator cover over the years, including cast aluminium, plastic and pressed steel. Some of the later, cost-reduced designs are prone to oil leaks that appear between the engine block and gearbox bell housing; in more severe cases the leaking oil can reach the clutch plate, requiring a gearbox removal and a new clutch.
This RCM billet gudgeon pin cover and oil separator cover kit is based on the genuine part but with increased material thickness. Fitted with the correct sealer and torque, it is intended to address this leak path.
