Product Description
Cylinder 4 cooling is a known area of concern on the EJ family of Subaru engines: the water passageway layout in this area can mean reduced coolant flow and higher temperatures around this cylinder.
This Street Spec kit fits into the unused port at the back of the block at cylinder 4’s location and tees into the water matrix pipe directly above it, using the supplied fittings on the tee piece. Billet fittings are fixed onto coolant hose with genuine Subaru water hose clamps. The billet barb fitting is sized to give an appropriate flow rate around cylinder 4, and two supplied pipe lengths are intended to give the correct position and bend of the hose.
Note: on some vehicles, the metal water pipe this kit attaches to may sit in a slightly different position due to length variance; the pipe can be trimmed if required to prevent the hose from kinking.
