RCM Time-Sert Thread Repair Set – Metric Fine M5-M12
Now this bit if kit will always get you out of trouble with stripped threads particularly with the softer alloys as found on Subarus and other modern cars.
You’ll now never be left stuck with stripped threads in alloy calipers, cylinder block cases, gearbox cases etc as the kit contains all the metric threads found on your Subaru.
The clever tooling included in the kit allows you to insert a steel threaded insert to replace the damaged thread making it actually stronger than the original!
The thin walled steel insert is threaded into the work piece and is then locked in place with an expansion tool. It is to withstand high continuous loads as well as frequent tightening and undoing of bolts.
The Time-sert kit can be used in all metal base materials :
Iron metals, e.g. steel, stainless steel and cast iron
Light metals, e.g. aluminium, titanium, magnesium
Non-ferrous metals, e.g. brass, bronze, copper, zinc
High strength and synthetically hardened materials
The kit contains x120 repair inserts covering M5, M6, M8, M10 & M12 threads in metric fine.
