Product Description
Tumbler Generator Valves (TGVs) are fitted to Impreza WRX, Forester Turbo and Legacy GT models from 2001 onward, primarily to reduce cold-idle emissions. The standard TGV uses twin butterfly valves in each tumbler housing which restrict airflow even when fully open, and the associated sensors and motors are a common failure point.
This RCM billet TGV delete kit removes the butterfly valves, sensors and motors entirely, for smooth, direct airflow into the cylinder heads. ECU mapping will need to be adjusted after fitting to prevent a check-engine light. The assemblies are fitted with O-rings, removing the need for gaskets between them and the manifold. The kit includes the gaskets required between the engine block and lower TGV, along with replacement bolts to secure the manifold and tumbler castings to the engine block.
